Mat Mladin scored a decisive first race victory at Road Atlanta on his Team Suzuki/Yoshimura GSXR750. Nicky Hayden, riding the Team Honda RC51, finished second after a battle with Eric Bostrom, riding the Team Kawasaki ZX7R.
